Highlights of 1974. ● Introduction of Monash High School’s Sixth form Alternative course- Social Science, Contemporary Art, Environmental Studies, Creative Arts, Humanities with Vocational Studies next year.
● A Drama Festival was staged, with performances of The Grey Angel and Carrigan Street. ● Apple Isle trip for 38 students and two staff. ● First Raku firing at school . A Raku kiln was built by Form 5 Ceramics class. Raku firing ● Ski trip to Falls Creek for 35 skiers-to-be. ● Extremely successful inter-school sporting program across a range of sports. ● Science was dropped as a compulsory subject for all above Form 2.
