Highlights of 1974.

● Introduction of Monash High School’s Sixth form Alternative course- Social Science, Contemporary Art, Environmental Studies, Creative Arts, Humanities with Vocational  Studies next year.

● The first musical produced by the school was the spectacular rock opera, “Joseph and his Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat”, involving 250 students and staff. Performances were conducted at the Wesley Junior Hall.

● A Drama Festival was staged, with performances of The Grey Angel and Carrigan Street.

● Apple Isle trip for 38 students and two staff.

● First Raku firing at school . A Raku kiln was built by Form 5 Ceramics class.

● Ski trip to Falls Creek for 35 skiers-to-be.

● Extremely successful inter-school sporting program across a range of sports.

● Science was dropped as a compulsory subject for all above Form 2.
