Highlights of 1975 ● A decade since Monash High School was established. ● The first annual Art and Craft exhibition staged by Monash High. The works displayed included fine examples of ceramics, weaving, metalcraft, woodwork, batik, sculpture, drawing, photography, needlecraft, painting and printmaking. ● The Students Representative Council felt it desirable to change its name to Student Union. Radical changes saw the executive replaced by a volunteer management committee. ● Amalgamation of Mother’s Club with the P.T.S.A. ● Students set up radio station 3MH. ● Good attendances at parent-teacher-student interviews, where a spirit of co-operation was evident. ● Increase in Physical Education periods per week and removal of sport from timetable. School teams continued and achieved considerable success, enjoying keen competition and acquitting themselves with credit. ● Skiing trips to Falls Creek. ● Canoeing/camping excursion to Fraser National Park for form 5 Physical Education students.
